Subscription, and what expiry changes
Paying, what the free trial includes, and exactly what stops if a subscription lapses.
The free trial
Register and you are on a free trial straight away — no card, no waiting for
approval. It is narrow in size, never in capability:
- One learner
- Three accounts
- A couple of SMS credits, so you can text a real phone
- Every feature — bulk print, analysis, backup, the lot
One learner is enough to judge it. One learner is one report card, and
the card is the thing you are deciding about.
Paying
Admin → Subscription & billing. MTN Mobile Money, Airtel Money
or card, through Pesapal. You get a printable receipt for your books.
Plans are priced per term, because that is when school fees arrive and
when a bursar actually has money. Paying for a year costs less than three
terms.
What stops if a subscription lapses
These pause:
- Bulk report-card printing — a whole stream or class at once
- Student ID cards
- Result analysis
- Backup and export
- Emailing a report card to a parent
- Adding new learners or new accounts
- Renaming an existing learner
These keep working:
- Signing in, for everybody
- Entering marks and writing comments
- Printing an individual report card
- Editing learner details — photo, admission number, fee category
- Fees, receipts and the register
- The parent portal
Why it is drawn there. A school that stops paying keeps everything it
entered and can still finish the term — holding a school's own records hostage
punishes learners for a decision made in an office. What a subscription buys is
the ability to grow and the heavy tools. Renaming is on the paused list
only because it is the way you would add a learner without paying, by typing a
different child over one you already have.
Getting going again
Renew and everything returns immediately. Nothing was deleted while you were
away.
