Report cards
Print one, print a class, narrow to the learners you want, and email a card as a PDF.
One learner
Open a stream and use Report next to the learner. The card appears
exactly as it will print. Print / Save as PDF uses your browser, which
is the highest-quality route and needs nothing installed.
A whole stream, or a whole class
- Inside a stream — the Print All Report Cards button.
- A whole class, every stream — Learners → Classes, then
Print cards.
- Any selection — Academics → Report cards.
Each card lands on its own A4 sheet. Print once, or save the lot as a single
PDF.
Only the learners you want
Narrow the stream list first — search by name or admission number, or use the
A–Z strip by surname. The print button then says Print these 9 and
gives you exactly what is on screen.
Use this for reprints. Three cards were spoilt in the printer: filter
to those three and print those three, rather than running the stream again.
Emailing a card to a parent
Open the card and use Email to parent. GradeFlex makes a PDF on the
server and attaches it. The parent's address is filled in from the learner's
record; you can change it, or send to several addresses separated by commas.
There is room for a short note.
- Only an administrator or the learner's class teacher can
send. A subject teacher can read the card — they need the marks — but
sending the whole thing to an outside address is a different act.
- The PDF is small, around 40 KB, so a parent on a mobile bundle can
actually open it.
- Every send is recorded in the audit log with the address it went to.
Always one page
A card fits a single A4 sheet whether the learner takes four subjects or
twenty-two. The type tightens as the card fills, and the subject table grows
to fill space a short list would otherwise leave blank.
What is on the card
- Your logo, name, motto and contacts, with the logo faint behind as a
watermark
- The learner's photo, name, class and term
- The subject table, in the columns your grading mode calls for
- Overall average, overall grade, and positions if you show them
- Project work and generic skills, where your school reports them
- Fees balance, if you print it
- Both teacher comments, with the head teacher's signature and stamp
- The grade rubric — or, in AoI-out-of-3 mode, the identifier table
instead, since there are no grade letters on that card to explain
- A QR code and serial for
checking it is genuine
Bulk printing is a paid feature. Printing a single card is always
available, including after a subscription lapses — a school is never locked out
of its own records. Running a whole class at once is not.
