Entering marks

The entry grid, what each column means in your mode, and what happens when a mark is out of range.

From your dashboard, pick the stream and subject you teach. You get a grid: one row per learner, one column per mark the current grading mode needs.

What the columns are

• C1, C2, C3… — Activities of Integration, each marked out of 3. How many you see is set by your administrator.
• EoT (/80) — the end-of-term mark, in the 20/80 mode.
• EoT (/100) — the end-of-term mark, in the modes that use a full hundred.

Saving

Fill in what you have and press Save. You do not have to complete the whole class in one sitting — come back and the marks you entered are still there.

When a mark is refused

GradeFlex checks every cell before saving anything. If one is wrong the whole submission is refused, the offending cell is named, and everything else you typed stays on screen so you do not retype the page.

• An activity must be between 0.9 and 3.
• An end-of-term mark must be within its own range — 80 or 100.
• Text where a number belongs is refused rather than silently ignored.

Who can enter what

A subject teacher sees only the subject-and-stream pairs they are assigned. A class teacher and an administrator can enter for any subject in their school. Every change is recorded — who changed a mark, and when — in the audit log.

If the term looks wrong

Marks belong to the current term. If the columns are not what you expect, or the term named at the top is not the one you are marking, ask your administrator to check Admin → Academic years & terms. A term can also have its own grading settings, which is what makes one term show five activity columns and another three.
